A worthy post. I posted a vid of Feist not too long ago too. She wears that Starfire well!

yeah she's like a cross between Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bjork, and Sheryl Crow. very entrancing!

and i love the cameo of the Starfire in this vid - it's like a total parody of Easy Listening, made more funny by the fact that the Guitar isn't actually a prop, she can play it!

That's good. She's got her own style for sure, but I'll bet she was a big Pretenders fans, too. I hear a lot of Chrissie there.

Gahh! I must be getting old.

Girl or Guild, which one do I look at?

Yep, I got the same problem.

Have to confess, Watching the little lady stroking that Guild brings to mind a Blues tune I been working on & never finished.

Probably safer to appreciate her musical talent, song's about legs.

I was blown away from start to finish... Girl, song, stage presence, guitar tone, awesome old Guild; all through two Vox SS Pathfinder 15Rs (amazing amps BTW - no really, check 'em out)

I think i have watched this video about 6 times today. :D Beautiful guitar and girl, and a good song with some unique style of play. Her vocal style reminds me alot of Martha Wainwright.

She does have an interesting singing style ...the story goes that Feist was fronting (screaming) a punk band in her early 20's, and badly damaged her vocal cords. She had to give up the band, and couldn't sing for a couple of years. Feeling a need to express herself musically, she learned guitar ...and discovered she had a knack for songwriting.

A happy Fairytale indeed!

I've only watched it once a day for 6 days. (It's a geezer thing.) The lady has a lot of grace and stylish movement. I like the way she dances n addition to her vocals and guitar playing.
I dig the Martha Wainwright comparison, too.
