I saw them at Bessie’s Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia in the early eighties. It was an old boat warehouse converted to a concert venue. Super fun place that got a lot of good bands, but with absolutely god-awful acoustics. Katrina was fun power pop.

"Girl of my Dreams" - Bram Tchaikovsky

Thank you GG! I’ve now added this to my repertoire. It translates pretty well to acoustic without the lead. A nice energetic strummer! I need more like this from the era.

The Tremolos had several hits as part of the 60's British Invasion, "Silence Is Golden" is at least another. In the UK I think they were Brian Poole and The Tremolos, but probably changed that when they hit the US...

While I don't remember this particular tune, this is the album cover I remember in the bins...mostly due to the great picture of the maple-glo Rickenbacker ;)

Referring back ca few pages...

Bob Welch had Fleetwood Mac members Stevie, Christine, and Lindsey singing backup on his solo version of Sentimental Lady.

She went on the acid trip with Peter Fonda in Easy Rider, and was a very accomplished choreographer.

i love the song, but when I hear it, I am actually hearing Weird Al’s “Ricky.”
