We watched Farm Aid on AXS last night.

Kind of sleepy. Lots of so so sounding Gibsons along with some great ones as well. Chris Stapleton's Epi sounded very nice.

Nora (snora) Jones's recording has a bunch of wind in the mic noise or something but most artists had decent sound. Of course, all were recorded at home or outside at a local farm, etc..

One Guild chesterfield logoed dread played by a guy in a band called the Recording Company. He strummed the heck out of it and it sounded really good.

Dave Matthews is just weird and I do not like his songs...nor did I like his take on a Pete Seeger song. Rye Whiskey

Neil Young was just wandering around outside a chicken cop playing to the fowl and sounded really good.

John Mellancamp and his guitarist were out of time with each other for most of Jack and Diane...felt like it anyway.

Willie . Micah and Lucas Nelson sounded great. Willie's singing was really good and his guitar playing was good as ever. Highly recommend looking for a repeat on AXS or finding clips online.

I saw a few parts of it, but not the whole thing. Matthews is a strange guy, his in between song banter was really weird, but he definitely has a unique and enjoyable guitar playing style!

Covid boredom being what it is found myself researching Dave Matthew's between song banter and ended up here, really cool, personal. I personally like what I'm hearing in his lyrics, impressed. We need musicians to tell us things.

I really like Dave Matthews and his music generally. He sings so many songs in that super high voice and mostly hits the notes but it's just such a strain for him and WATCHING him sing that high and strain to hit the notes is painful to me. Better to just listen than to watch. And he could leave off on all the super high stuff all the time. It should be an occasional thing, in my opinion. But he didn't ask me......
