This looks like quite a nice piece. The price drop is like 42% but still quite pricey.
Spectacular grain

It's very attractive, but I've never played a koa guitar that sounded "good" for my tastes. Especially all-koa guitars. They have a crispy, "dry leaves" sort of overtone going on that I don't like.

To my ears the 60th and a NH F30 Traditional sound different but I'm not prepared to say one is "better" or more useful. But Mrs. Fro. was not interested in the 60th because of the sound :)

it's on Reverb and located in Spain.
I've never owned or played a Koa guitar before but thought it look pretty amazing and different than the usual natural or sunburst.

I note the absence of a label shot or the case candy certificate of authenticity signed by Ren.

I choose not to remember what I paid but I'm pretty sure I'd make a profit if Mrs. Fro. sold at that price in the USA. I do understand inflation and various taxes involved in getting US goods to market in Europe so it may be reasonable for that market.

Count me in the minority (again) I guess. I think the 60th Anniv. all KOA guitar not only looks great but sounds wonderful as well. It works well for my ears. I have a F 47 KC GSR that i think sounds great as well. I came real close to taking the plunge on a Gibson J 45 KOA but didn't.

Anyway, I guess just another case where what doesn't sound great to someone might sound really good to others.

But it does come with it's very own DIAMOND dotted "I" in the Guild rooftop logo!! That's always something. I can't recall if I've ever played a Koa guitar. From what I've read I'd probably be more interested in one if it had a spruce top of some kind. But you just never know.

My favorite acoustic has Koa back and sides. Never played one with a Koa top, though.

That's a fine looking guitar!

That F30 K 60th is a stunning guitar. Im guessing current asking price is probably not too far off from what they originally sold for? If the MSRO was $7K then the typical 60% discount would be $4200 USD - that is assuming you’d even get such a discount on a custom shop / short run guitar. No doubt some people got better and worse deals, but how many of these will you see for sale in this condition any time soon?
