Welcome aboard, ddd.

Values are very subjective based on condition. If you want some opinions on the guitar in question, post a link to it in online offerings and some of us will no doubt give you feedback on it. A lot also depends on your location, which you have not revealed (which is fine).

Also, regarding wilmy's search technique, also keep in mind that when people sell on Reverb they often have no idea what the real production date of the Guild in question is. So, you have to do a lot of searching to get a valid approximation of the market.

Greetings. I actually started an answer in Introductions but since @GAD suggested you post here I decided not to clutter things.

Serial dates to 1973 which means it was made in Westerly, RI.

Not sure what you mean by "quality". Two factory condition F30's from 1973 should be for most practical purposes identical. I'm reasonably sure Guild did not have a similar sized instrument with a different model number at the time so it is not like quality varied with "trim line". Reverb lists 7 F30's from the 1970's for sale with prices from US dealers ranging from $799 to a little over $1600. Those are asking prices and condition is what really matters.

Since you said elsewhere you were negotiating with a family member you might start at $1,000. Hopefully condition is good or better, it has a case that fits and it is not going to need any work to be playable and remain playable for several years.

Pictures will help.
