High, friends of the Guilds;

with some pleasure I have found the new F 47 R Model, in my opinion a mini-jumbo, as my old GF 50 NT.
Has anyone any experiences with this new great ax?? - How would it be in comparison to the F 50 R ? - Concerning sound and playability??

As I might buy a new Guild coming months; though at this moment I am not certain about which choice to take.

Above that has anyone an idea about an online-shop who would ship the one or the other model to South Germany?

Still playing my Guilds with pleasure every night! - Greeting to you all over the ocean!
Yours truly

I just bought one a couple of months ago. I think it is a fantastic guitar. Especially for the price(I don't know how they do it!) It has warmth, bite, volume, and depth. It has the quick response I like for fingerstyle but plenty of bottom end and "whomp" when dug into with a flatpick. If Guild makes 'em all like this one, they should be in business for a looonng time! And it easily holds its own with my more expensive guitars. I find myself thinking, if I could have only one, this might be it because it is so versatile. That's what I like about Guilds (my '65 D-40 is the same). They have great midrange, and a quick attack without sounding thin. Good for everything. And I don't think mine is just an unusually good example either, because the store where I bought it also has the F-47M (maple back and sides) and that one is killer too!

Compared to the F50-R, it probably will shoot out the sound a little quicker (like a good auditorium sized guitar should) and maybe a little more sparkle on the high end.

janpeter,

The Hattenhauers are from Thuringia.

Coasticious,

I may soon be living in a lake of incontinence. Or rather a cess pool of incontinence. One of my dogs might have to get a surgery that will leave him fecally incontinent. But what the heck. My carpet is crappy already.
