I've been listening to Eva Cassidy a lot lately. Just a pure, beautiful voice and a sweet guitar player as well. I came across this Utube of Mick Fleetwood talking about her. Ya'll may have seen it already but I hadn't so thought I'd post it for anyone who may be interested. I hope I copied and pasted it correctly.

Yes, I saw this video recently. It was my 80 year old "old maid" aunt who introduced me to Eva Cassidy's music. Same aunt gave me my first Gibson acoustic way back when (which I, as a stupid high-schooler, sold to by a Fender Jazz bass.

Just listened to Mick Fleetwood and had to Google Eva Cassidy. Glad she stayed true to her interpretation of how music should be sung and played. She put her soul into her songs and this listener felt it. Thanks Richard

Eva on her trusty Guild; the best version of "Over The Rainbow." Ever.

Coincidentally, I just came across this new documentary describing the making of Eva's "Blues Alley" cd:

Thanks for posting that geoguy! I just watched the whole thing. I really enjoyed the piano player's take on things.

Yeah Tom. Eva has taken over as my top female vocalist.

Parallels to Jim Croce, another relatively unknown musical legend when he died.

Besides her immense talent, her refusal to compromise her artistic principles is what I admire her most for. She is for the ages.

Imagine someone like this coming along today and appearing on one of those idiotic talent shows. Then all the vultures would swoop down and try to change her.
