OK, so the real question is how many of us have held various types of electrical and communication cables in our mouths for one reason or another? (sheepishly raises hand) I think in my own case, I’ve never put a live cable in my mouth, but I can’t remember… at least I don’t remember ever having to pay any emergency room bills for such Darwinian behavior. But, then again, maybe my memory was shocked away.

Beyond Lucas electronics, I had an XJS fuel-injected V-12. But the injectors were connected with something like short rubber tubes. Eventually, the rubber splits, sprays the engine compartment with gasoline... BOOF. XJS totalled.
