Hi, I'm familiar with this guitar as I live nearby and have played it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... SS:US:1123

It's in great shape, the only marks I could see were a 1/2" green pencil line on the back (and of course that stupid decal) and a 1mm brown spot next to another 1mm dent on the top binding. All easily fixable I'm sure. I'm not in the market for an X-170 at the moment or I'd have bought it from the store before they listed it. Oh yeah, it has flatwounds on it.
Don't know if they'd do a BIN or not, maybe worth asking.

I guess that depends on how badly you want this one? There's been a lot of "hit-or-miss" with the 90's archtops....I would guess this may not get an opening bid at that price.

I meant "hit or miss" in the prices they seem to be bringing on ebay. Nothing to do with quality 'cause Guild never really had a sub-par period of production like most other manufacturers.
