..is in the house. Arrived safely!! In great shape, but could use a good polish and new set of strings. And sounds like a dream. Plus the old lady like gaudy!!! She thought that was one of the best looking guitars she had ever seen. Can't complain about that.

West...serial number AD720106. You running lights on yours or something heavier? Sounds pretty good with what I think are lights. Thanks for ranting about these guitars, glad I pulled the trigger!!

Pics to follow...

:D Well congratulations to you FNG, couldn't have happened to a better guy. Yep, well she may be a little gaudy, but sounds ok too ha? :) Sounds like yours was 13 DV72's before mine.

Lights on mine. That's all I string any of mine with. How's the neck and action. Mine's almost like playing an electric, I swear.

Post some shots when you get a chance, I'd love to see her. And again, congrats.

Thanks West...pics in a couple days. Very smooth and low action. The seller replaced the original bridge pins with ebony ones with turquoise inlays. But on yours...are the original pins plastic?

I don't think she's gaudy at all...tastefully appointed. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well said, well said. Heck. I don't know what mine are. Bone I guess, they haven't bent or distorted any, they sure feel light for bone though....got a turquoise dot on them.

Would you agree they have a more mellow sound than the D55, just not quite the projection?

Truthfully, it's been a couple years since I played a D-55. They sure are far and few between around here. Mine seems to be pretty strong, even with the lights.
