Forgive me my brothers and sisters...I recently sold my DV-52
sat there for a long while and had not been played...my illness makes it difficult at best to play much guitar anymore although I will fight it till the bitter end! I didnt know what to do. On one hand I have several custom built acoustics that I enjoy as I can but I still had this fantastic Guild That was in many ways as nice a guitar as any I have owned but, no longer played very often. A fellow player from work has been after it ever since I first bought it.....(I got to the seller with cash first..hehe!) and has always expressed an intrest in owning it! so I did not have to ask twice if he would like to be the new owner. I sold it to him for the same price I paid for it a few years ago ( $550.00) thought it was only fair! Came right over with cash in hand within the hour! I feel good knowing that it will be played and that it has a good home..but...I already miss it a bunch! ha!
Hope you guys still let me hang out here some without a Guild in my stable ! lol!

$550? You're a good friend Steelpickin'! that's a screaming deal for a guitar that nice. 8)

No need to leave here, either. Guild ownership is not required.

Well, just because you no longer own a Guild doesn't mean you have to stop talking Guild. :D :D

Sorry you had to sell yours, but, it's good to know that it has a good home. Maybe you can get your buddy to join LTG too. :)

(I'll be heading up to your neck of the woods on a field trip later this week - spending a night in Saranac Lake. Or do you live farther upstate than that?)

My first thought is it's a good thing your friend got to it before I did. Paid quite a bit more for mine.

As for hanging around here sans Guild...lets just say it's good that membership isn't dependent upon ability. You'd be here but I wouldn't make the cut regardless of Guild ownership. You rule, man. Keep doin' what you can. \m/'-_-'\m/

Yup! No Guilds required to be an LTG member. Now that your buddy has your -52, get him to join.

You've been a friend and inspiration to everyone here who knows you..the private encouragement you gave me through my tough going helped a lot..and I hope my and our friendship helps you to stand strong too....If things turn around and you are needing a Guild, just say so, and you won't get through the day without someone setting you up....and please, keep showin' your face around here, you are part of the foundation...Steffan

You have that rare combination of heart and talent, Steel/Larry, and we need you around here. Hang around and enjoy the view, and let us hear from you now and then.
I've learned a lot just watching you play on the 23L channel. All the hats are pretty cool, too!

Take care,
Joe

Absolutely, please stick around, Larry! What a nice gesture, offering your DV-52 to a friend for a great price! I hope you can continue to make beautiful music on your other guitars.

Larry, once a member, always a member; you're stuck with us. Besides, we need your clips just to remind us how good we could have been if we had only would've practiced every day for the last twenty years or so! :) Hang tough, Steel.

Hang 'tuff. Afterall, you're a waaaaaaaay upstate New Yorker.

Well said. Bless you for passing on your Guild the way you did. I hope the new owner knows how lucky they are to have a friend like you. Keep the faith.
