There's really no excuse for today's guitars consumers not to know the difference between a bolt-on and glued-on neck.

It's an education process. I have owned basses for half a century but it is only in the past decade that I have learned that there are different ways to attach a neck. I have learned there are pros and cons for each technique but the differences are often a matter of opinion and may not make a practical difference to me as a player.

I've been solicited by parents to assist their children in acquiring the first guitar or upgrading from the beginner model. The kids don't even know what a neck reset is, let alone care about something that won't happen until far in the future. They are into sound/tone, appearance and playability. The things that do make a difference to them are neck profile, body dimensions, tonewood (in an acoustic) and general appearance.
