Which one worked best?
Looks cool. Hipshot Ultralight tuners helps, too.
A heavy Hipshot Supertone bridge would help a lot also, but I don't think anyone would want to put one on their vintage bass unless it was an emergency.

Yeah, I put on the ultralights.

I use the post right behind the neck. And an S-shaped strap. Holds it up well enough.

The funny thing is that my other JS-II has no problem. The body is heavier.

Listed on TB 10-15 years ago. Never seen or found them again. There is a slight s shape curve. I once made a half-assed effort to at first find a local leather worker, like someone who mage belts and bags, but failed. Then I tried Craiglslist an a woman that made saddle tack responded that she might be interested to try to make them, but she was far away and I got busy. Stupid.

It would probably sell.

Before that I tried putting hanging a fishing weight on the back post with a string. Later on I tried the more available "Heads-Up" straps where you put one or two weights into pockets of the web straps. It helped, but .... it adds a noticeable amount of weight on the strap relative to the positive impact it has. It is sitting unused in my strap box - lemme know if you want to try it.
