Just woke up and am still able to recall my dream from this past night. Absolutely must share with LTG.
In my dream I was at a mall and someone mentioned a new guitar shop had just opened. I walked around only to find a place called "Heir Guitars - by Guild" (which in and of itself is pretty funny). They only sold guitars of the "Heir - by Guild" brand, which sort of looked like really brightly colored Ibanez/Jackson type guitars with no pickups... piezo saddle pickups I'm assuming  There were no customers in the store, just a sleepy sales associate behind the counter. So I went over and talked to him. He spoke only German! I noticed a small, old photo of Jack Casady (one I had never seen before) scotch-taped on the wall. I asked him if, since they were a Guild brand, they made a Casady signature model. He pointed me to a super relic'd 5 string bass (looked like a silver Ibanez SR - http://cachepe.zzounds.com/media/qualit ... 452039.jpg) which supposedly had been owned by Jack at some point. Of course I was shocked and feeling a bit skeptical, but I figured I had to try it out. Wasn't impressed at all, quite cringeworthy -- old round wound strings, bad action/intonation, and nothing but dead non-resonant notes all the way up and down the neck. Didn't catch the price, but after that I wasn't really interested anymore and that's pretty much where my recollection ends...
Anyone else dream about Guilds?
