I am cleaning out the closet in my Guild cave, and have a couple of "well-used" dreadnaught-sized cases that I no longer need or have room for, and aren't worth selling on eBay. Before they go out in the trash, I thought I'd offer them up to anyone on LTG for the cost of shipping.

#1 is a branded (gold script) arched-top Guild dreadnaught case from the late '70s - early '80s (I got it in SF ~'82-83). The black tolex has been pretty beat up by United and Delta baggage handlers, thru to the plywood in several spots (especially at the headstock). There's also residue from the fiber reinforced tape I used to cover the rips in the tolex, as well as wrapping it around the case to prevent it from opening in transit (either by accident or by curious baggage handlers). Inside, the purple felt (not plush) liner is in good shape, and the hardware is in good shape (only very minor tarnish). This case "fits" a Guild dread... but is on the big side. I usually stuffed half a dozen T-shirts around to pad my D-35 when I flew with it.

#2 is the unbranded arched-top dreadnaught case that my '74 D-25 was shipped to me in. I don't know if it is original, or what era it hails from. Tolex is in good condition. One seam has pulled up, but could easily be re-glued. A few small nicks, and a couple paint splatters. Some of the stitched trimming around the lid has shrunk and is pulling away, but looks like it could be re-glued easily with contact cement. Chromed hardware is in good shape... but must have been detached at some time, because someone repaired/re-attached some of the latches with wood screws (not riveted). It has a tan plush lining that is a little stiff, but in decent shape. It is a snug, but reasonable fit for any of my Guild dreads (even the archies).

I'll send either case for the cost of shipping (I'd estimate that might be ~$20-35 ea in the lower 48). If anyone is interested, drop my a PM with an e-mail address and zip code and I will shoot/send some pictures of either case and give a shipping estimate. If no one wants them, they'll end up on the sidewalk for the neighborhood cleanup on 11 Apr.
