So I'm down in Florida and borrowed a couple of my old guitars - my brother now owns.

A Lowden O25C and a Martin D18. Neither guitar are slouches by any means but I really miss my Guilds.
The voice and feel of my Guilds are really wonderful to me.

At home I've got my Martin OM21 Special and my Gibson J15 on the chopping block.
Preferring my Guilds to them.

I've been really working with the Lowden down here. It's quite nice but just doesn't have the same overtones, voice and feel
I've come to love in my Guilds. What surprises me is that most my Guilds are Westerly Collection not American.

The Martin again is a really fine guitar but it doesn't have the Guild vibe at all.
I only mention this because I truly was looking forward to reuniting with my old guitars while I was down here.

American or Westerly collection Guild - they have their own thing going and I miss them.

Definitely prefer the Martin over the Lowden. Probably because it feels closer to the Guilds in feel and sound at least with respect
the Lowden vs. the Guild. Another week to go so at least I've found some comfort in the Martin.
