That looks like Robert Goulet, but it isn't him, is it?

I'm trying to ignore the creepy fact that he's old enough to be her father - at least!

These from the comments on the YouTube page:

The guy on the motorcycle is famous singer Robert Goulet from Canada, he did this as a favor for the girls who are huge Robert Goulet fans at the time and to promote the song for the girls record label too.

FYI all, the dude is Robert Goulet and I think this was from his TV show. Anyway, for those of you too young to know, Robert Goulet was a major major singer of sixties and a pretty good actor. He was having fun with the girls.

When I got my first AM transistor radio..."Leader Of The Pack" was vying for Number 1 on WBZ-AM, 50,000 watts from Boston :)

Back then, as other 'geezers will agree, there was no MTV or Youtube, so what you saw was what came on Ed Sullivan or Shindig or ("Shudder!") Hullabaloo. Only magazine worth reading was Hit Parader, and you got lyrics to tunes as well...(who else might have interviewed Mike Bloomfield about what gear he used with Butter?)

I look back with warm nostalgia...then...think of some unmentionable thing that must have happened to three 14-year-old (or there abouts) girls who thought hey could break into the big time :( Where are these ladies now?

Boy, WBZ-AM and Hit Parader bring back some memories!

OK, a lot of you seem to connect.
Now, who can ID the motorcycle in the video? :p

My first inclination is a Honda 90...but, the cylinder head looks to be a two-stroke not four, and the name plate seems to be longer than I remember my Honda's...a Yamaha would have been three crossed tuning-forks...picture is just too soft for me, but 90 cc +/- ;)

It has to be a 1963 introduced Yamaha YG1 "Rotary Jet 80".

- 80cc 7.7 HP rotary valve engine
- 4-speed gear box
- 135 lbs.
- telescopic front forks

Since the thread title contained "hilarious", that ad fits!

Good call, guys. Ralf, I think you nailed it. I was guessing about 90cc Japanese but couldn't get any closer than that.

Love that ad!

You want some real All Ladies Rock-N-Roll?

Saw them open for the Kinks in 1971 at the Santa Monica Civic. They were so good I figured they'd be headlining somewhere in the near future.
As I recall they got almost no radio play, and back then that was crucial. During the period when people were raving about the Go-Gos and the Bangles
I'd mention Fanny to blank stares.
