So our niece and her husband were Master and Mistress of ceremonies for our son's wedding. A few days before the rehearsal, he got sick and got tested for Covid. Both he and our niece tested positive. Fortunately, they weren't around anyone in the wedding party, and our son got a different cousin to emcee. If all this had transpired just a few days later...geez I don't even want to go there.

Meanwhile, our nephew is now in the hospital and has apparently developed pneumonia. Aaron is a healthy, active kid (45) so we expect he'll shake this thing, but your thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. His wife is Wendy; she tested positive too but has not developed severe symptoms. And of course she can't go and be with her husband.

Went to a Labor Day BBQ at my brother's house here in Las Vegas. We'd not been attending their many parties specifically because of the virus. But we thought it might be time to venture out. There are very few people there that I like spending time with but my nephew Jared is one of them. We sat in the quiet of the dining room away from everyone and caught up. Three days later got a message that a guy that he worked with last week not only test positive but was very ill. So Don and I have been holding our breath and waiting to see how Jared's test came back. Just got notified today that he's negative. That was just a little too close for comfort though. Our bars are opening again today. We could only sit at tables before, but now all the bartops are open, but spaced out like before. I hope people act right and our numbers don't go crazy. I like sitting at the bar. So we'll see how this goes.

Scary stories! I haven't eaten inside a restaurant yet, only outdoors, and even that only a few times. I'm laying pretty low. still too nervous.

My thoughts beyond the power my guardian angels can spare is Lomatium.

Indians in the Southwest used it and were surviving the Spanish Flu when millions were dying.

It grows here, wife is savvy enough to find it and dig up the root and we made a tincture of it just in case,

It works on the lungs, maybe kills the mold that's trying to kill you. Can have side effects. The Indians knew how to take it, they boiled it, scraped the gum rubber stuff off, it's known to give one hell of a rash if not done right.

It's extremely antiviral, this statement is not approved by the FDA.

As far as Covid prevention, the one herb that really knocks it on it's butt before you get it is Eldeberry, which is why the FDA is constantly harping about it and other things that don't work, because they work.

Covid is looking for a way in.

Months ago a brilliant scientist somewhere discovered coating the airway with CBD gave 70-80% reduction in Covid's ability to latch on to the airway. Keep eating those edibles, you'll live longer but might experience social awkwardness and inability to drive as well as been better protected from people.

Face it, you don't get Covid from Covid, you get it from people.

People are the enemy. I just wish there was some glasses you can wear that shows you the infected ones when you're out.

Now btw, the CDC said it can travel farther than 6'. I've been saying that for months but who cares. It's called wind, it moves air, so you're standing spewing and the wind is like Covid Helper © pushing it another 6' so you have 6 plus 6 makes 12 etc.

But then they retracted it, the statement. Quietly made it on Friday, retracted it on Monday.

Why does my clock sound like Tic Toc Flip Flop Tic Toc Flip Flop Tic Toc Flip Flop?

Also, tobacco. Nicotine just happens to use a receptor site that Covid needs to latch onto to get you.

Smokers are your friends. Most of the ones I know are just too ornery to get sick.

Alcohol kills it. Never forget that. It might be 5 o clock somewhere, but it's 2020 everywhere. Desperate times call for dessssperattte meassures... hic.

But don't drink hand sanitizer. I guess it needs to be said.

Turns out people are drinking while working at home... Economists say it could affect our production well into the future.

What future I'm not sure and wth can you do from your computer that's so damn important anyway?

I make an Eldeberry syrup, then add honey and 100 proof rum. This is what the FDA doesn't want you to have. I call it a Covid Knocker (an excuse to take a shot basically ;]] It could save your life before or after ANY contact with people!

The Eldeberry has something in it that keeps the Covid's Spike Protein from getting you.

Spike Protein Vaccines were something of a controversy months ago. I'm still alive, it's all the proof I need.

Signing off, the Elderberries are ready to pick.

I'll be finding out 1st hand if the Lomatium works if we get sick. I trust nature.

Have eaten outside at a restaurant once when meeting family out of town - otherwise all take out. Have spent one night at a cottage for my wife’s 70th birthday - otherwise all nights at home. Masks, indeed. Social distance - when others don’t plow into me on aisle #9! Pretty easy stuff to do in order to keep everyone safe.

Eating out is actually the best way to get Covid I hear. Also working in a meat packing plant. And at home from family.

When you can't distance, masks definitely work. I was way ahead of the curve on this. This is me 10 years ago, just hanging out in the hot sun modeling a few PPE items ;]]

Thankfully my nephew returned home to his wife from the hospital yesterday, but it was pretty dicey for him for a few days. He turned the corner when he got an injection of plasma a few days ago from someone who had recovered from Covid.
