The Westerly 150D has a 16" wide all-maple 3 3/8" deep body with Fender HB-1 pickups. The 175 has a 17" wide maple body with laminated spruce top that is 3 3/8" deep. Pickups were Guild HB-1 pickups in the 70s until it was discontinued in the early 80s. Both have 24 3/4" scale lengths with bound rosewood fingerboards. Also note that some 175s in the 1980s had soundposts. That's it in a nutshell. Check out my X-150D and X-175 as well as GAD's X-175 review for more info.

So, the 150 is a bit narrower and "mapleier" with Fender pickups -vs- Guild pickups and spruce top for the 175, if I read you correctly. Thanks!

Only the later X150's have Fender humbuckers. Think Corona models.
The X150's in the mid to late 90's would have SD1's and guitars before some time in the 90's would have Guild HB1's. I think Fender bought Guild around '95 and the switch from HB-1's to SD1's occurred somewhere along the early to mid 90's.
I had a '89 X170 and it had Guild HB1's so SD change didn't occur in the '80's.

Hey GG... I didn't know some X175's had a sound post!? I knew some X500's had them but never knew the X175 did also.

M,

I didn’t know this either until I owned a 1983 X-175. Take a look at GAD’s review on his website. I sold that guitar to him and it had a small block under the bridge. I have to think they were testing out the features they put into the X-170 model later on.
