He's headstrong and conniving. You can tell when he's plotting something, but he does that only when he's awake.
The people who lost him didn't want him back. So I don't think they "lost" him accidentally.

In my early years, I was a companion to a young boy who died at age 10 or 11. His death pretty well shattered the family and they were moving so I was left behind in a no-kill shelter. For the last 8 years, it's worked out pretty good; Juan is a crappy guitar player which, since my hearing is pretty bad, doesn't matter as much as it used to but I like this Florida thing; no up and down steps and since I can't hear very well, not even the thunderstorms bother me any more.
