You aren't a stooge. Nobody can be an expert on everything. Glad we saved you some coin.

Now, where are the pics? ;-)

They're such cool guitars. So tell us - how do you like it? How's it play and sound?

What I did with mine, was put on a roller bridge, a graphite nut and a set of Planet Wave locking tuners. I also put a spacer under the Digsby to reduce the break angle over the bridge. Now you can get locking tuners with the two locating pins pretty cheaply and you don't need to drill the headstock. I'm not sure that you would need a graphite nut, as long as the stock nut doesn't bind. I think the roller bridge isn't 100% necessary, but I like it. Locking tuners, absolutely!

I never liked the plain guards on the DeAs. It works with the goldtop, but with the sparkle tops, it just cries out for more flair. I have to order some white pearloid, and I think pabaron's is begging for black pearloid.

I actually just kept seeing a Facebook acquaintance playing the same gtr during a summer songwriting challenge...couldn’t see the whole guitar and never got around to asking but I wanted one!!! Met her and found out what it was and the search was on. The Reverb fake ended up being 5 miles away from me ....too easy and a version w/ a story. I made an offer, he of course accepted and then you people stepped in!!
It is a very cool gtr plays great, love the sound(s)...and now that is not that “special” a few changes might have to happen but I’m in no rush, have to save something for when the snow starts to fly!!!

Prices on black pearloid were insane or out of stock. I'm going to cut a pickguard when the white pearloid shows up. The spacer was just a nylon washer from the hardware store that I thought would work.
The planet waves tuners needed to have the holes drilled larger to fit. Anyway, there are better options out there. Hipshot, Grovers and Schaller will all work. The Hipshot has mounting plates so you don't have to drill. Check the diameter on the tuner shafts for compatibility before you order.
It's a fun little project!
