What 6 said. I still play several of Dave's arrangements - an inspiration to many of us. One of the first to arrange classic ragtime for the guitar.

One of my favorite records around that time was Dave Van Ronk, and the Hudson Dusters/ great version of Cocaine Blues on that one. Great guitar, looks like he babied it over the years. I have one similar and of course I sound just like DVR. :) Steffan

Which F50 do you have.

My F50R was built in late 67 and I think it was built at the same time by the same luthier in Hoboken as his.

My serial # is AD-201 and I remember being told that one of his was built at the same time

I'm seriously thinking of selling it, ($2000 if you grab it fast, anyone?) workmans comp just denied my claim because of circumstances that they set up....another story. I have a nice Larrivee, that I like and is easier to pack around and play. Will keep my f512 though.

P.S. Captain,There have been a couple of Admiral of the Fleet sailors in my family. Dutch heritage. Queen Victoria awarded one to my great grandfather I believe, family has to return the award when you die. I guess it is always 'owned' by the royal family. You can search Morzer Bruyns, and likely find a lot of Dutch historical stuff you might like. Do you have bow legs too. Seems to be a given in my family. :( ....Steffan
