Late 75 or 76. Not official but there will be those who can tell you within couple months.
If you look inside sound hole with flashlight you might see month and year on neck block.
Oops - Corey was quicker on the trigger.

Might be too early for a neck block date, but will likely have a date stamped on one of the braces flanking the sound hole. You will need a mirror to check for it. If it is there, it is the date the top was completed, not the date the guitar was finished.

according to the PDF site, the superstructure serial number is late 1976. If there is a date stamp underside the top on the brace it is probably from around the same time, maybe mid 1976. this is a golden period for Guilds, around 1975-1980, imo, for all Guilds. U could get any D-25 since there are so many. necks may vary and such so i'd certainly be open to any year. late 70s Guilds to me is just some of truly the nicest instruments i've seen from any guitar company

my D-25 purchased in 1973 (I know, because I still have the bill of sale. I purchased it new from Manny's in NYC) has 71284 stamped on the back of the peghead and written on the label inside. also on the label is 72918

Is that unusual finding a date written at the bottom of a Guild acoustic guitar label? Or something they did "for a while" or just a freaky thing that one day?
