d 40 pearwood

I got this acoustic in1968 a model D-40nt pearwood. I was wondering if this is a rare model because I usually see the D 44 in pearwood not the d 40 .

That would be unusual... I have a '67 Pearwood D-44, I believe they made them through 1971.

Yes, unusual ...... but not impossible. I've seen several different models with pearwood back & sides, but most of these had the 'Special' designation on the label. Is your Guild labeled 'Special' ?

no its says d-40 nt nothing else.there is no plastic or pearl on the headstock I'll get you a picture asap
