First of all, hello everyone. I'm new to GT. In November, I bought the D-140 Westerly collection from a local supplier. Of course, I tried the guitar first and the sound was really great. A few days later, I decided to buy it and also informed the salesman, who packed the guitar and it was already waiting for me. I admit that I didn’t test the guitar at the time because I was convinced it was the one I tested as we had agreed. Today, I’m no longer sure of that even though the salesman convinces me otherwise. I started playing the guitar 14 days after the purchase (I was absent) and then found that at the original height of the bridge at a slightly stronger play, the sound was muffled, which I didn’t notice during the test play. After examining the neck, I found that no matter how I adjust the neck, the fixed part of the neck (the part of the neck that is connected to the body of the guitar) is always a little higher and this “kills” the sound. The solution was to raise the bridge but it is still not quite right. The more I raise the bridge the less playful it is. I practice fingerpicking more than strummin, but it's still a nasty feeling. I wanted to return the guitar but the seller said I missed the return deadline and it is also not a matter of warranty. Anyway, I’m mad at myself for not being careful enough when buying.
In short, does anyone have experience with how to improve this neck issue or has a similar experience and how he solved it.? A little confusing written but thanks in advance for each answer. Also in the sense .. "it's your fault, why didn't you check the matter in detail ... etc" . I beleive for 650 € you still expect some quality, even though it is Chinese ... .
Regards,
Tom
