I may have missed it, but I went through the 4 pages of this thread and didn't see any mention of Cleveland Ohio's James Gang with Joe Walsh (guitar), Dale Peters (bass) and Jim Fox (drums).

From the "Rides Again" album here's "Funk #49"

Joe's quote about this tune: "If I'd known I was going to have to play this song for the rest of my life, I'd have written a better song!"

I still love it and have been listening to it since it came out when I was a teen, despite what Joe Walsh thinks about it.

I understand Joe recorded it with a Tele and improvised the opening riff.

Aside from Walsh, the drummer Jim Fox has always been one of my favorites. All the drumming on the "Rides Again" album is excellent rock drumming.
