Something's haywire with the link, s'okay, I got to the tune thru your Soundclick site.

Man, .. "Wedding ring in a pawn shop, there's a story to be told" is a sad line.

What guitar are you wailing on here??

David,

And don't misconstrue this.....I like'em both.....but I like the guitar in #1 and I like the vocals in #2.....does that make sense? Keep it up Buddy. It's hard for me to catch the best of both worlds. If I nail something on the guitar, I get a frog in my throat, and if the vocals are bearable, my fingers run together picking or I miss a chord. :) I like it though.

I don't wish to go through yet another set of keystrokes to sign up for yet another website account.........cranky old guy that I am.

Would have loved to have heard the two versions on YouTube.

Same here - comes up with a sign up screen - but West's soundclick goes straight to it for his songs.

BTW - there is a special thread now on LTG Members Only for posting songs and West is beginning to feel mighty lonesome

I thought 1 sounded fine, then I heard 2, more "power" there; I guess more "emotional".
I guess the Squirrel agrees with the Beaver.

Thanks for posting, great tune to sit down and play tasty "blues in E" lead to, I love it. Oh, and I like version #1 better. Apologies to the squirrel and beaver.....

Thanks all. I kind of like 2 better, too, altho I do like the guitar better on 1. I winnowed these two down from about 9 I recorded over the course of a bottle of cabernet! And yes, it's just a bit autobiographical...but not much...anyone could write those dumb lyrics...and play those three chords!

You probably know who Jimmy Tomasello is. He subbed for our regular teacher last week, According to him, we should already know every chord there is. The entire class was spent playing one song. Switching keys every time. It was awesome.
