And to get back to original label question... Hans informed me that all Guild solid bodies from this period had no label.

I am kind of "amp challenged" at this time. I have one of those Vox things that models other amp types. They say there's a tube in there somewhere.

It's fun to play with but not really suited to anything serious, if you know what I mean.

Well, I was an electronics neophyte until very recently. Decided "I can do this", and, with some mentoring from one of our members here, have found an absorbing and very satisfying new interest.

Depends, of course, on the individual having a desire for an absorbing and satisfying new interest. Something like a Silvertone 1481 is the essence of simplicity, ideal for a newbie's first project.
