Contemporary Pickguard – Cellophane Covered?

I stuck the supplied pickguard on my new CV1 last night, it looks like it may have a protective cellophane covering there what looks to be small bubbles under the surface but I can't pick the edge to unpeel. Am I imagining it?

Without seeing the pickguard, I would say that it probably does have a protective film/covering on it. Try to find an edge and peel it off gently. Good luck.

I would have thought it would have one too but can't find an edge to peel, I was hoping to hear from another CV1 or CO1 owner to confirm there was a film on theirs before I continued picking at the edge.

I think the Tacoma-built guitars, particularly in the 2007-2008 timeframe, came with plastic sheet covers on the pickguards. Gently use your nail (or maybe, say, a gum eraser) at the edge of one of the guard until it picks up a slight lip for you to grab.

OK, will do.
Very pleased with the guitar, setup is very near my preference and it sounds and plays excellently.
