I think that it's interesting to consider just how well self effacing rock band names have tended to work on our psyche. It's a sort of negative advertising thing which conversely signals self confidence and the promise of transcendent abilities. Once groups become famous we forget this initial negative name choice.

One of my children used to have a wall poster something like the image below, and it had a caption below which read " Tenontosaurus taken down by the relentless Deinonychus". I always thought if I ever had a heavy metal band ( which I won't 😅), I would call it....IMG_6323.jpeg
....Relentlessly Deinonychus.😂
