Cigar Box Guitar advice

anybody know anything about Cigar Box guitars? My mother in law had one made for me for xmas and it is very cool, but Im not much of a blues man and not really sure where even to begin...Tunings? It's a 3 string - not too sure on open tunings or whatever. Slide? Yeah a little, maybe with some dirty distortion? any other thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Check Elderly. They have a large selection of cigar boxes and quite a bit of info. I know the four strings are tuned same as the top 4 guitar strings but I don't know about the three string models. Also check out Glenn Kaiser on youtube.
