Good when refrigerated!

There is nothing like fresh picked local fruit.

Have you ever had a fresh-picked pineapple in Hawaii? To die for.

When I was cooking on a mission trip in Mexico, I would buy fresh Papayas from a guy on a bicycle and cut them up for breakfast.

We'll also have fresh-picked peaches here before too long!

Can't beat Michigan cherries.

I was always impressed with Michigan nurseries...seriously nice flowers and quality bulbs and such.

I miss Vince and Joe's too...

I buried my papaya seeds in the garden dirt, on top and a little more shallow than the rest of the kitchen scraps. Now I have a clump of little papaya plants. I'll need to move them if I want to let them grow.

I wish that could work here with cherry seeds.

Another fruit ripening soon here: Blueberries! We always wash & freeze a bunch of them for use throughout the year.

We have blueberries here. I saw a sign for a U-Pick about a month ago, maybe? I thought about going but never did. I picked years ago. They were very good!

Also the orchard was beautiful with bushes covered with powdery blue berries.

The Jersey blueberry season started a couple of weeks ago. 46 million pounds harvested a couple of years ago. They thrive down here in the southern end of the state with our sandy soil. We do the same thing - freeze 'em and vacuum pack them.
