That is the purdiest G&L I ever seen, almost want it.
There's something about a pink guitar... I've always wanted to see the frontman in a deathcore metal or whatever they call it these days playing a Pink Hello Kitty First Act guitar ;]]
You did good making it play. Important.
My experience with some of these ultra el cheapo guitars is too many issues to deal with to turn them into a decent playable instrument given the time and energy I want to devote.
I remember selling a guy a Squier Starcaster at their house, in front of a whole family watching, I could not make the guitar stay in tune long enough to play anything that didn't sound awful, this was with new strings, stretched, as good as that guitar would get without a lot of work. They bought it anyway, and I felt kinda sick afterwards. All of my first guitars so much better than that. Silvertone Amp In Case guitar comes to mind. Freakin awesome players, great necks.
And yeah, real men do wear pink ;]]
I fell into this body somehow when I was looking to build a Tele that wasn't Butterscotch. I've never had any other color than Butterscotch. I really wanted black, or early 60's style aged faded white with green guard, couldn't find one of those that I ever liked and fell for a Pink Paisley instead. It speaks for itself, it gets comments. It always get comments.
