Hello!
I am a fairly new and happy owner of a white S100 reissue, taking a chance on a B-stock model on Reverb for a $368 I couldn’t say no to.
The guitar arrived in a Guild box in just a gig bag with no padding but somehow made it across the country without a scratch. The “B-stock” issue is some slightly sloppy masking on the binding. Sounds, looks, and plays great. I’ve seen new Gibson’s with sloppier binding work selling for top dollar.
But I do not like storing it in the gig bag. It is a relatively padded bag, but the neck portion is bent back Leaning Tower of Pisa style by the angle of the neck.
I am not likely to gig with it any time soon, but I am looking for an inexpensive hard case that fits it, which is proving to be surprisingly tricky. It does not fit in the TKL SG case I keep my Gibson SG in, for example. I am open to rectangular cases, SG-shaped cases, ABS or plywood, etc.
I am wondering if anyone has any experience here.
