My purpose in posting these pics is simply to suggest that sometimes Braz and Indian look similar. Please click on the url above and take a guess at what is Braz and what is Indian. It would be interesting to know what people think.
I'm only talking about one rosewood guitar in a thousand. So please don't post a pic that's obviously Braz next to a pic that's obviously Indian, because I'm not talking about the ones that are obvious.
I'm not suggesting that a final determination can always be made by a pic--quite the opposite. I'm suggesting that sometimes Braz and Indian are so similar that you can't tell the difference by looking at pics. So please don't tell me that Joe Expert could tell the difference. The point is that sometimes you need Joe expert to tell the difference.
And please don't tell me that new Braz smells better. I'm talking about old guitars.
For what it's worth, which ain't much, I'd love to have any and all of these guitars. I think they're all beautiful.
