I have a late 60's Starfire that is missing the silver bridge pickup. Does anyone here have one to sell? Thanks everyone!

Hello guildguy,

The HB-1 designation refers to the slightly larger Guild humbucker that was introduced towards the end of the year 1970. If you have an earlier guitar, it should probably have the smaller humbucking pickup.
Show us a picture of the original neck pickup and we'll know what you need for the bridge position.

Sincerely,

I'm sorry, brain fart.
My Starfire 5 is a '71 which has the bigger HB-1 pickup I'm looking for.

I have a '68 Starfire 3 and a '64 Starfire 12 that often get mixed up. I'm sorry!

Hans, absolutely fantastic book by the way!

I should add I'm looking for a silver one. It doesn't have to be beautiful or anything, wear is ok.

Lastly, I have a HB-2 (which is a songle coil appearing as a humbucker, right?) in the neck position. This is ok to pair a humbucker with?
(not that it's physically bad but concerns about sound and/or balance?)
