Built in string winders

Do the winders fold over and take the shape of the tuning pegs? Or stickout like my hair after getting out of bed when I went to sleep without drying my hair?
Enlarged the picture and reread the title. If I done that in the first place, I would not have needed to ask the above questions - "Built-In."
Now there's an interesting concept! Can only use one at a time though or they would bang into each other...
IMO, another idea that solves a problem that doesn't exist...

They're quite fantastic actually. Haven't seen a set in hand in nearly 20 years now.
No pic of the back but I suspect they are Gibson branded Schallers and not Grovers?
Here's a set on a Custom I had, but no pic of the back, but of the back on a Silverburst I had and they are very much the same tuners Guild used, with a Gibson tulip button, so quite possibly the fold out tuners are Schaller.

They were actually Schaller/Germany made around 1983/1984:

Only good until Gibson came out with this (unsuccesful) idea around 2015...

Makes sense. The Custom is an '84 and the Silverbust an '80 or '81.
