Someone posted this on Facebook and included the magazine, so I went on Ebay, bought a copy and scanned it for my archives. Since I'm WAY behind on updating those I figured I'd post this here first since it's so cool.

This ad is from the 1991 Guitar World magazine.

The (what I believe to be) 1992 catalog says they came in Black, White, and Custom Woodgrain Colors, so I gotta assume that's Woodgrain Green. All I know is that I want it! It would look so cool next to my blue '99 SFV!

The 1/15/92 price list includes exactly that model with gold hardware and in Woodgrain Green. Funny error calling the Starfire 4 also F112!

Did you notice that the 1992 Jazz sheets show her with the Müller roller bridge and Müller Nightbird tailpiece? Also that 1/15/92 pricelist showed her as Starfire 4, the Buddy Guy ad, the 1992 Jazz sheets and the 1993 pricelists changed that to Starfire IV...

Mine has the Müller bridge, but has the SP-6 stop bar instead of the Nightbird style bar.

Starfire 4 and 5 getting rotated around my home quite a lot these past few weeks also.
I'm starting to come to the POV that hard stops tail pieces and Guildsby models are my preference over the the "harp" models. Can't put my finger on it but it may be due to the symphetic string vibration on the "harp" models. I have been putting a polishing cloth under those "extended" strings and favor that tone.

If i remember correctly this „ special edition“ was from 1990-1992 and all had an all maple body, maple neck, ebony board and gold hardware. My first guild was a 1990 blonde one, that also had a spectacular flame. I traded her for a great amp but this is the only guitar that I sold and still miss from time to time.

Here’s my most recent acquisition. I believe it is a 1986 SF-4 and I’m loving it! I about 9 lbs with ebony fingerboard and dots. It’s about as new as a 34 year old guitar can be and it plays and sounds unbelievably well!

I have seen Buddy Guy to many time's to count, but he is the reason I always wanted a Starfire and why I bought my 73 SF IV FZ is the reason I bought my Gibson SG
