Not my favorite Roy Buchanan clip, but sure looks like his T-250.

In 1971, one of the three networks had a TV special on Roy Buchanan called "The best unknown guitarist in the world". Does anyone have footage of that show, or know where I can stream it?

That was aired on PBS. It was available on VHS, I don't know if it's ever been released on DVD. As far as streaming goes, I've seen bits and pieces of it, but don't remember where. Have to look around. It was a good documentary.

Thread with all the links to youtube sections of that video.
Enjoy!

The youtube videos have all been deleted. It has been on youtube off and on for the last couple years, always gets removed. Our local PBS station used to air it during their fundraisers, but it hasn't been shown there for 2-3 years either. Makes me think whoever owns it has released it on DVD, or has plans to. I've been searching, can't find it anywhere. :(

Here's the scoop:http://www.tdpri.com/forum/bad-dog-cafe/165702-roy-buchanan-pbs-special-dvd.html
I rented a VHS of it in the early '90's. It may have been a bootleg. :?

Got it, thanks.
I sort of favor this one....don't know why.
Well, Joe, I can understand that, but he's not playing a Guild!
BTW, anybody remember the Leaves version of Hey Joe? Predated Hendrix by a year or two.

Yea. I remember that one. The Hendrix version is the classic but in the beginning the two different versions threw me off. Who did the origional cut? I don'tthink it was The Leaves.

While I always advise taking Wikipedia with a grain of salt, this particular synopsis is full of tasty background:
