No one seen my last post about my Blueridge 12 string .
It seems I’m tackling my first bridge removal and reset .
Soon as I get a Fox bridge clamp and a few other fine amenities I’ll begin .

I posted this a few times before, that Martin repair video might get you some nice hints, it starts when he removes the small heatblanket from the bridge and the re-glueing happens later in the video at about minute 1:40.
Obviously using such relative expensive temperature controlled heatblanket would be replaced by an iron for private use. I was surprised that they always protected the lacquer but when the guy removed the bridge at the beginning he has zero protection under that metal spatula...That was brave of him on such a fine instrument...Also the guy doing the refret is doing this with quite some force! Those fine Martin repairmen know what they do and how to do it.

Hey everyone 😊
It seems the FoX bridge clamp won’t be around any time soon at least that’s how it feels .
So off into the net in search of . Lol
There’s more then enough to choose from some cheap probably from over sea most are but I wasn’t really interested.

after searching again I found this guy on EBay lives up north I forget where .
anyway he replicated the luthier design that first made them at least I think that’s it says .

so he upgraded the bridge clamp with everything being heavy duty thicker metal larger screws Allen head instead of wing nuts.

price was good 39 bucks so it’s on the way .
Here some pics from the page .
