Had a friend put a Starfire reissue bridge on my JS-II. Looking to correct the E string intonation problem and maybe add some sustain.

It intonates now. And it sounds brighter. I just don't like the tone.

So now, he is reversing the process and putting the harp bridge back on. But he thinks he can extend the track on the E string saddle so it may intonate.

That's my report.

Let me know if someone wants the bridge.

In case anyone cares... got the JS-II back today. The E string intonates now. My friend said that he used a file to extend the slot on the bridge just a little more.

I know that all basses with harps don't have that intonation problem, but at least a few did over on the old DudePit. Enough that someone was even talking about building double saddles. No need! Just do a little filing.

Over & out.

I know you're on to something here, young man, but I've lived with them as-is for so long I'm afraid 'in tune' would sound 'out of tune' to me. Don't be messing with my quaint vintage intonation.

Happy,

I guess I want the bridge as a back up. So PM me with the details. Thanks, Harry
