Can't say it's an obsession, but I got a couple. One glass, one steel.... see them?

I'm envious.

Along with being whammy challenged (except for slight Bigsby waggles), I have never been able to develop anything using a slide. Back in the sixties I think I used to be able to play Tom Rush's "Panama Limited" a little, with the airbrakes, etc.

But after a few years those genes went way recessive or something. I love Bonnie Raitt, John Hammond Jr., etc., but whenever I've tried to develop some slide technique so I could play some Alman Bros or something, it was so frustrating that I lost interest in about 3 minutes.

Sigh.

guitar?

i used to think i could be Dwane Allman, Rory Gallagher, etc but thats not in my genes.
(i may have been born in chicago, but that didnt rub off) i'll spend much time listening to who influenced the chicago greats.
john hammond & rory block among a host of others are good starts--
keb mo' said it best: 'sometimes ya just gotta take it slow'
if it hadent been for my m s, i may never have gotten back into the slide :)
its all good, now time to Boogie
