Do the Newark St ones still have the push-pull knobs on them to split the pots? I saw the Guitarist video showing this in action but from readying around this may have only been part of the initial trial batch? If not, how do you split the pots?

Nope - only the early ones.

You split the coils on the pickups with a push/pull pot or mini-toggle switch. If you know your way around a soldering iron it's an easy change provided the pickups have four wires.

One other question.. why does the Bluesbird not have a base for the bridge like the Starfire III does? Is this because it’s posts are drilled directly into the body?
