Hey, for old time's sake! Why not?
This bass and this amp were probably one of the best sounding combinations I've had the pleasure of owning/playing. Too bad these Thunderstar amps only put out about 40watts and only into 8ohm cabs. I've often daydreamed about getting two of these amps and running them into a single 2x12" cab where each speaker is 8ohm and has it's own direct input jack. That would probably deliver enough volume for a folk-rock band like mine... realistically though, in the interest of low maintenance and less trips to the car, I'll probably just stick with my Acoustic 370

Not a Guild, or even a bass...but it's black and old (1957, best as I can determine):

BTW: it's a Silvertone 1427-L, the cousin of the fancier Harmony H62:

Also related is the H63 "Espanada" with quirky, fluted "Harmometal" body binding that calls to mind the edge of a 1950s, Formica-topped dinette table. All these guitars are jump blues monsters.

The pickups are P-13s, junkyard dog ancestor of the P-90.
