RI beaches are wonderful. I love it there. We vacationed in Charlestown a lot when the kids were younger. Dang you Woody. Now I want to get down to the ocean.

I'm the furthest thing from a beach person (my dermatologist would kill me), but after living on Long Island my whole life, I absolutely must live near the ocean. It's nice that my house is less than an eighth of a mile from the Long Island Sound, and knowing it's there.

Watch Hill, or Misquamicut?

I lived in Westerly, which Watch Hill and Misquamicut are sections of. I also lived in Avondale, which is a small section between Westerly and Watch Hill. It’s such a small footprint, we stomped around all of it in the good ole days, as if it was one. Misquamicut is nothing like it used to be in the 70’s/80’s.

Sure do get that. I’ve lived close to the Pacific Ocean my whole life except for a few years in Arizona while attending college - first in the LA area, and then on the north coast of Oregon since 1984. I just have to be close to the beach!

In Great Britain, the greatest distance from the sea is about 70 miles. Furthest I've ever lived from the sea was just under 7 miles, when I was at college in Cornwall. Right on the North Sea now
