I was supposed to be up your way in May to visit my 94 year old aunt in Cumberland, and then the lockdown happened. Love all the gear!

Wow! I bet that sounds great through the Portaflexes too. Super musical play pen!

I looked to see if I had any better photos of Acadia Recording Studios in Portland, Maine.

There must be some somewhere .... but Todd moved quite a few of the guitars that hung there before back to his house. So not as dramatic as it once was. But a bunch of keyboards beyond the ones in the photo are there to entice one. Including some 60s Vox boards sitting in the hallway.

But this is Portland, Maine. So no comparison to the big studios.

Except, in a back room Todd was given a number of fifties fat-wide tape decks with all of the analog (fat gooey) pre-amps and such. Along with a bunch of tapes from a local and national country star who had the gear in his studio. He's gradually working on cleaning & restoring the gear before moving on to the fragile master tapes. An interesting project.

Otherwise, just a small city studio with none of the great 80s accoutrements. Despite my complaints. no bowls of coke and bowls of pills are offered on the grand piano.

Woohoo! Very snazzy setup.
I definitely miss playing with my band. Sunday was supposed to be our first rehearsal back since the pandemic mess started... but our guitarist began coughing with a fever a few days prior. Seems to be feeling better now and has been tested. So we should be good to go this Sunday. Looking forward to bringing out the Bonham and Starfire again! Fingers crossed!
