I played a new F 40 and F 30 here in our local shop.

F 40 is really not all that much bigger, a little, difference in more in the shape. F 40 has a more voluptuous lower bout, kind of like the difference between Dolly Parton & Jenifer Lopez, if ya was standing behi........never mind.

The F 30, was my personal preference & sold first,

i've played one, and it sounded lovely

yeah, that is what i was hearing too. i would like to compare it to a D-40 too, in the same room, just to hear the tonal differences. but for the money, there just isnt another high end guitar that comes close to this tacoma quality....very impressed. i mean to say, adirondack spruce for 1300 bucks....really? how is that accomplished? twice as much to try to get a Martin of the same top...how does Guild do it?

Well lets see I played an F-40 an easy player very comfortable and bright sounding! Low end was not overpowering and I liked that! Went home then went back to the shop and played the same F-40 again and brought it home!
Please don't tell my wife!
