It was 12 string rounded like "f" but the body was real small. Looked rosewood w/spruce Open Tuner no label no model. Imperial headstock. The Serial # on back of headstock no USA on it anywhere. Guild Plastic logo near the handle of the case.

You'll likely see 'that' guitar on one of Judy Collins old albums. I'd give your friend a couple hundred right now.... ....am actually waiting on Treem to get my 68 up here when some repair work's finished....Look up Judy's F112....compare serial numbers, mine was 50 before hers. Get pic. if you can...it would be a Braz.....   Steffan.....hangin' in....

A rosewood F-112?

Its hard to tell with real dark redish brown stain.......
Hi Paul,

Yeah, it's probably mahogany -- as you said it'd be a little hard to tell at a glance. Indeed, it is possible that it's a SPEC model from Hoboken as a custom build with rosewood (Hans might know), but to my knowledge there were no really small-bodied F-series 12s (like the F-112) done in rosewood in the standard line.
