Man I saw one of the Gibbs from the Bee Geez playing a sweet Pelham blue songbird on TV last night… doubt that one’s on the market

Hans had previously explained that the one Barry Gibb played was a Songbird with a custom finish.

Guild introduced however the S4CE-BG in 1998:

And those come up from time to time for sale.




This example is transparent blue. They often look a bit towards green nowadays as the top clear lacquer yellowed over time.


They were available in Metallic Blue and Crimson Red as well:

Yeah Ralf, Barry’s leans someone between Pelham and Lake Placid whereas as the series with Kelli wing lacquer are more teal. All beautiful instruments.

Barry only plays the skinny songbirds (of which he plays many), but every Barry Gibb model songbird is the fat one!!
