I asked the seller if he would ship to europe. If not: anybody out there who could handle the shipping for me?

I'd be happy to if no one local to the guitar cares to handle it.

Asking price of 1700 puts a bit of perspective on a couple guys I know asking $1500 & up for tired T 100's, don't it??

Strings; I tip my hat to your wife.

Aren't you worried about the O feedback on the seller ? There's very little info about the instrument too, so I'd be suspicious.

I'd be more suspicious if he was hyping the heck out of it. Some email and maybe even phone conversations might set one's mind at ease. And maybe someone from the forum here who lives close to this one could check it out for you, strings. It does look pretty nice and the price seems fair.

Good luck!

It’s true: no response from the seller. It appears to be a little bit too risky. Thank you everybody!

To get into topic at last (sorry, I ignored the ebay section): how in general was the quality of middle and late 70s Guild hollowbody guitars? Or maybe early 80s. Are there any good or better or less good years? Did they at that time change production techniques or materials? What are your experiences?

Whoa!

Sorry Strings,
I just noticed this thread. Stonington is about a 1/2 mile from here.
Well, if it comes up again......
